Chicago Bears: These draft prospects would compliment Russell Wilson

Chicago Bears draft targets to compliment Russell Wilson: RB Kenneth Gainwell, Memphis
One of the reasons Wilson is looking to leave Seattle is the fact that the Seahawks, for whatever reason, don’t want him to pass as much. It makes very little sense, especially considering there’s not a single quarterback who throws a prettier deep ball.
Looking at the Bears’ needs, they could use a backup running back. However, finding one who could be a legitimate threat on passing downs and even potentially lined up in other spots would be a huge benefit to Wilson.
One of the things Wilson does best is improvisation. When a play breaks down, he shines. One running back who could come in and be an asset on those third downs or even in various formations is Kenneth Gainwell out of Memphis.
After a strong 2019 season, Gainwell opted out of 2020 and instead declared for the draft. That season, though, he finished with 1,459 yards on the ground and 13 touchdowns while also catching 51 passes for 610 yards and three scores.
Gainwell is a phenomenal route runner and possesses some of the best hands in his class at the position. He would serve as an integral piece while also allowing David Montgomery to stay fresh.
