Chicago Bears: The Seahawks want what for Russell Wilson?
By Ryan Heckman
Surprisingly, Chicago Bears linebacker Robert Quinn has been mentioned
Last spring, Ryan Pace shocked us all when he inked pass rusher Robert Quinn to a 5-year, $70 million contract. It wasn’t a position which was high up on the Bears’ offseason priority list, but Pace still made that deal.
On the surface, it looked like Quinn and Mack would be one heck of a pass rushing duo. Quinn was coming off a season with the Dallas Cowboys which saw him finish with 11.5 sacks and 22 quarterback hits. The pass rushing possibilities seemed endless with he and Mack.
However, Quinn proceeded to have the worst season of his career in 2020. He ended the year with a career-low 2.0 sacks and just six quarterback hits. Some wonder whether or not he played injured, but either way, the contract looked far worse after the season.
It’s a bit of a surprise to hear the Seahawks mentioning Quinn’s name in a potential Wilson deal. Quite frankly, most fans would have no problem seeing the Bears trade Quinn. In fact, they would prefer Quinn being one of the players involved in the deal.
The Seahawks do need pass rushers, but would Quinn be able to revert to form in 2021? That’s the thing Seattle would be banking on, ultimately.
