Chicago Cubs. Anthony Rizzo. 44. player. 9. . 1B

No matter what, Anthony Rizzo has been the face of the franchise for so many years now. He was there through the rebuild as the Cubs put together a World Series-winning roster around him. He has been so great and so consistent for so long. As mentioned before for Bryant, most Cubs players struggled at the plate in 2020 and Rizzo was no exception. He needs to be better in 2021 and you can bet your bottom dollar that he will be.

It will be hard to find a more accomplished player in place of him if they decide to move on. He is a World Series champion, a Silver Slugger Award winner, a four-time Gold Glove winner, a Platinum Glove Award winner, and a three-time All-Star. He is right there with Jose Abreu of the Chicago White Sox as the best (most consistent) Chicago baseball players of this era.

It would be a devastating day if we ever found out Rizzo was leaving Chicago. Whether it be via trade or free agency, it would be tough. He only has one year, 2021, left on his contract so anything is on the table at this point. He has been so great at baseball but he has also been a tremendous leader in the community. He is one of those guys who is impossible to hate no matter what team you cheer for. It seems like out of anyone, Rizzo would be one they stress bringing back the most but he is definitely in danger of being gone.
