24. . PG. Chicago Bulls. Derrick Rose. 1. player

Number one on the court, number one on this list, and number one in our hearts (since 2000). Derrick Rose is one of the best players to ever play for this organization. It might even be fair to have him as the number three all-time Bull behind only Jordan and Pippen. He was selected with the number one overall pick in the 2008 NBA Draft. It was an incredible moment for the Bulls as they selected a player that changed the franchise.

The first few years of Rose’s career were truly something special. He was the Rookie of the Year in his first year and then followed it up with the league MVP two years later. He was also an NBA all-star for three straight years. Then, injury struck. An ACL injury held him out of a lot of basketball games and it really kept that Bulls era from taking it to the next level.

They were unable to ever take down LeBron James and the Miami Heat as a result. We all would like to think they would have if Rose stayed healthy. He was that good of a player and he made the Bulls become a title contender almost instantly but it was never meant to be as he couldn’t stay on the court once his first injury occurred.

Rose eventually spent some time with the New York Knicks, Cleveland Cavaliers, and Detroit Pistons. This season, Detroit traded him back to the Knicks and that is where he is right now. Things were never the same for him once he left Chicago (or even since the first injury) but we all remember how great he once was.

All four of these players were significant pieces in the history of the team. They all deserve their credit for being good players on the court and good people off the court. They are still chasing that first title as an organization since the Jordan era but the right people are in place to try and help get them there. Hopefully, when it is all said and done, these players look back at their Bulls tenures with a smile.
