2. LB Kevin Pierre-Louis

You’ve heard the name Kevin Pierre-Louis before and it’s because he was with the Bears in 2019. During the 2020 offseason, Pierre-Louis signed with the Washington Football Team where he had a highly productive season, starting 11 games and totaling 56 tackles and two quarterback hits.

Overall, Pierre-Louis was solid for Washington in 2020 and now this offseason there is a chance that he decides to return to Washington again. However, if he’s available, the Bears need to be on the phone with him.

Two advantages exist when it comes to Chicago reuniting with Pierre-Louis. First, defensive coordinator Sean Desai gets someone who’s already played in a very similar defensive scheme before, meaning the learning curve for Pierre-Louis won’t be very big. Second, reuniting with Pierre-Louis means Chicago will have a formidable linebacker trio with Roquan Smith, Danny Trevathan, and Pierre-Louis.

Pierre-Louis’ price tag shouldn’t be too high either. Chicago could end up reuniting with him on a two-year deal worth six million dollars which is a fair deal for a player who’s emerged as a solid rotational player over the last three seasons.
