The cap casualties have begun, and the Chicago Bears are set to have more and more options in free agency as the days roll on.

While the Bears will likely make cuts of their own in addition to the recently-announced move to release cornerback Buster Skrine, many other teams will be doing the same thing. This year is a bit different with the salary cap being a bit less than recent years, so things are about to get very interesting.

In Chicago, we shouldn’t be shocked to see guys like Charles Leno, Bobby Massie, Jimmy Graham, Kyle Fuller or even Akiem Hicks get cut. It would be startling, but not completely surprising to see any number of those names added to the free agent pool.

With one main goal in mind, the Bears should ensure they have enough cap space. That goal, of course, is to fix the quarterback position. Now, whether or not they clear enough space to make a dramatic move like trading for Russell Wilson is still up for debate.

But, the Bears have to fix that position. They also have to solidify the offensive tackle spot. Whatever amount of money it takes, these two positions have to be upgraded in a major way.

To do that, it will probably mean sacrificing on the other side of the ball. The only surprise should come if the Bears do not make a cut on the defensive side of the ball. Get ready, because big moves are coming across the league.

Already, though, there are some notable names on the market after hearing of their release. Some may be enticing, but the Bears should pass on the following players.
