Chicago Bears Mock Draft: Marcus Mariota in, Allen Robinson out
By Ryan Heckman
Going right back to the receiver position, the Bears may also be looking to replace another significant name in Anthony Miller. After the final major press conference for the Bears following their playoff loss, we heard how dissatisfied the front office was in regards to Miller’s ejection.
This is probably a growing frustration with Miller, whose attitude has been an issue at times. Effort has also been in question due to the mental mistakes he’s made over the years.
In Round 3, the Bears can officially forget about Miller, finding his replacement in USC wideout Amon-Ra St. Brown. This kid is good at just about everything and doesn’t have a real red flag, not to mention — he’s strong.

St. Brown aligned mostly in the slot for the Trojans, which fits perfect with what the Bears are trying to accomplish in replacing Miller. The 2020 season was a down year for many, so it’s tough to judge St. Brown by those numbers (41 receptions for 478 yards and seven touchdowns). His 2019 campaign was a little more well-rounded, as he caught 77 passes for 1,042 yards, six touchdowns and also rushed seven times for 60 yards and a score.
Looking ahead at the Bears’ wide receivers being Mooney, Bateman and St. Brown … that is a scary trio. Sure, initially missing Robinson would be understandable. But, these three should provide a wide receiver room that doesn’t lack much. These guys can give the Bears everything they need in the passing game.
