Chicago Bears: Ranking biggest threats in Russell Wilson sweepstakes

4. A few wild cards
There are teams that aren’t on Wilson’s list, however, they could still end up making a play for Wilson. Look no further than the New York Jets and Miami Dolphins. Both teams have multiple first-round picks in 2021, one each that are within the top three picks.
The Jets and Dolphins high draft picks give the Seahawks something that the Bears cannot offer: A high draft pick which also means a shot at a young quarterback, especially with Zach Wilson, Justin Fields, and Trey Lance potentially on the board.
Miami can actually take negotiations a step further and offer Tua Tagovailoa, the fifth-overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. The advantage of this would be that the Seahawks already have a young quarterback on the roster who’s got some NFL experience. While going from Wilson to Tagovailoa would be a downgrade in the short-term, Tagovailoa appears to have a bright NFL future ahead of him, which would make the trade worth it in the long-run for both teams.
Miami and the New York Jets could decide to not make a move at all simply because they may believe that their rosters don’t have enough talent to give Wilson the supporting cast that he needs.
