1. Dallas Cowboys

As mentioned on the opening slide, the Dallas Cowboys are in a situation where they may or may not have a franchise quarterback to start the 2021 regular season. With long-term starter Dak Prescott set to hit the free agent market, Dallas either retains him on a long-term deal or franchise tags him to hold on for him for at least one more year.

The issue comes in if Prescott leaves via free agency. If Wilson is still on the Seahawks roster, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones could decide to make a serious play for Wilson. Much like Chicago, Dallas has it’s first-round picks through 2024 and also feature an offensive core that includes wide receivers Amari Cooper and CeeDee Lamb and running back Ezekiel Elliott.

What Dallas doesn’t feature is the defense that the Bears could offer but at the same time, unless Chicago retains Allen Robinson, the Bears don’t have as attractive of an offense core compared to the Cowboys.

What Dallas does in the Wilson sweepstakes depends on what happens with Prescott. If Prescott is back, Dallas won’t consider Wilson. Chicago could make a play for Prescott in free agency, however, that would mean coughing up a significant amount of financial resources to bring Prescott to Chicago.
