2. The Chicago Bears trade two defensive starters in a package for Russell Wilson

If the Bears didn’t go just picks in a deal, or if Seattle desired players in return, they could opt for a trade return similar to one of the rumored packages Houston wants for Watson. The Texans have been rumored to want at least two defensive starters and multiple first-round picks for Watson.

Could the Bears offer such a trade? Why not.

In this deal, the Bears send cornerback Jaylon Johnson and nose tackle Eddie Goldman to Seattle, giving them a pair of defensive starters. However, because the Bears may be desperate, they aren’t even close to done there.

Along with Goldman and Johnson, the Bears would send their first-round pick this year, a first and second rounder next year, plus a fourth rounder in 2023. It’s a total of two players and four picks for Wilson.

The positive, here, is that the Bears don’t give up more than two firsts. However, they immediately have some more holes to fill on defense. The Seahawks, meanwhile, beef up their defense and now have to find a quarterback replacement.
