1. The Chicago Bears trade a multitude of picks for Russell Wilson

The first thing you have to acknowledge when talking about the Bears and their chances to get Wilson is pretty simple: their current draft positioning isn’t as attractive to Seattle as what other teams have to offer.

Their first rounder is at pick 20 this year, and if they were to obtain Wilson, their future first rounders wouldn’t be much higher than that. With that said, if Chicago wanted to go all-in using only draft capital, it would take quite a bit.

Some have said that the Houston Texans would need four first-round picks to trade Deshaun Watson, and that’s probably what it would take to get Wilson.

Why? “Wilson is much older,” some will retort. Sure, that’s fair.

But, even though Wilson will be 33 years old this coming season, this is a guy who has not missed a game in any of his nine seasons in the NFL. This is a first ballot, sure fire Hall of Fame quarterback and he’s not even played 10 years.

Wilson has plenty of football left. There’s no question. Look at what Tom Brady has been able to accomplish. It’s an anomaly, sure, but a few other quarterbacks have been able to play near or at the age of 40 in addition to just Brady.

Wilson can do that. There’s no doubt about it. If he takes care of his body, Wilson should be able to offer the Bears another six or seven years, easy. If you’re telling me four first-round picks aren’t worth a Hall of Fame quarterback for the next six or seven years, you’re out of your mind.
