Chicago Bears fans, like many Chicago sports fans in general, have plenty to deal with on a daily basis.

What do fans of each Chicago sports team have in common?

We have suffered enough.

None more, however, than fans of the Chicago Bears.

I’ve put off this session for a few days because I didn’t want to deal with my feelings towards the Chicago Bears. The sessions have a bit of a progression, so I recommend checking out the prior sessions before jumping into this one.

We have so much to unpack here, so let’s jump right back into the fourth session:

*Steps back in*

You’re fifteen minutes late.

I almost didn’t come today, Dr. Kristin.

Well, sit down and tell me why.

I’ve put off talking about my favorite team: the Chicago Bears. You see, news broke a few weeks ago that a trade with the Philadelphia Eagles was “imminent” for the Bears to acquire Carson Wentz. The Bears were likely going to trade multiple first-round picks for him too.

I was sitting in the car, glued to my phone that night, ready to burst a blood vessel if this happened.

It never did — Thank. God.

I’ve still been having trouble processing the whole event, However. I was refreshing Twitter pages every ten minutes feeling doom and anxiety during that time. I wasn’t the only one either; “Bears twitter” was on the edge of their seats waiting for breaking news.

I was ready to file for a separation with this team if this trade went down.

Present moment check, Tim.
