Chicago Bears acquire Teddy Bridgewater in one of these trades

The Chicago Bears swap quarterbacks and picks in this Teddy Bridgewater trade
If the Bears try to acquire Bridgewater, they should attempt to include Nick Foles in the deal. Otherwise, they’re paying a good amount of money for both quarterbacks. Foles’ cap hit isn’t outrageous this year ($6.7 million). But, if they can avoid having to pay a backup that kind of money, and if the Panthers end up going quarterback in the draft, it would make sense to send him to Carolina.
This is probably a bit of an aggressive deal on the Bears’ end, for multiple reasons. First off, getting rid of a second rounder for Bridgewater may seem like overpaying. But, the fact that they are able to get rid of Foles’ contract and also net a third rounder in return makes it a bit easier to handle.
Asking for a third-round pick in return, though, may also seem a little much to Carolina. These are pretty significant picks toward the top of the draft, so maybe a deal like this doesn’t get done at all. But, if the Bears could swing it, it’s interesting nonetheless.
