Chicago Bears replacements for Anthony Miller: Nelson Agholor

In five years with the Eagles, Nelson Agholor never quite fully broke out. After being a first-round pick out of USC, the Eagles had big plans for Agholor. He was supposed to be their number one receiver for years to come, but ended up being just a guy instead.

Last year, he signed with the Las Vegas Raiders on a one-year deal. While the Raiders were looking forward to their pair of rookies in Henry Ruggs and Bryan Edwards, those two didn’t exactly hit the ground running.

Instead, it was Agholor who became Derek Carr’s favorite receiver to throw to. It was especially easier for Agholor to take over after Tyrell Williams ended up missing the entire season due to injury.

Agholor has played in the slot previously with the Eagles, and he would actually be the perfect player in this role for Chicago. He’s become a much better possession receiver and, after the confidence boost that was his 2020 season, Agholor might even be on the upswing. It would be a much later breakout than normal, but he wouldn’t be the only player ever to finally break out after several years.

Out of every player on this list, Agholor would probably come at the highest price tag. But, with just one recent year of solid production, he couldn’t demand anywhere close to top dollar.
