The Chicago Bears could tag and trade Allen Robinson to the Washington Football Team

One of the franchises who will surely look different before the 2021 season is the Washington Football Team. After a surprising 2020 campaign which saw them win the NFC East and get into the postseason, this franchise is still going to overhaul some positions.

Defensively, they have a great unit that is going to continue to ascend under Ron Rivera. But, there are questions galore on offense. The team is bringing back Taylor Heinecke on a two-year deal, but they still don’t have a legitimate starting quarterback for the upcoming season. Heinecke is a fun story, but this is a team that will be active when it comes to finding a quarterback.

In this trade, Washington gets to add Robinson to a core featuring a young up-and-comer in Terry McLaurin, forming a frightening duo for whomever ends up starting at quarterback going forward.

Two prototypical number one receivers on the same team with a blooming running back like Antonio Gibson means that Washington is headed in the right direction. It’s all about who is under center, from there.

On the Bears’ part, they would get a second-round pick and fifth-round pick this year, giving them a total of nine draft picks in the 2021 NFL Draft. The intriguing thing about netting picks from Washington is the fact that they pick right before the Bears do. So, that would give the Bears back-to-back picks in the second round, which could either lead to a pair of starters or be used as ammo to move up for a quarterback.
