Allen Robinson seems less than thrilled with Chicago Bears

Another week, another reason to be annoyed with the Chicago Bears.

Ryan Pace has been a pretty brutal GM for the most part, especially when it comes to his offense. The best piece he acquired so far in his tenure on that side of the ball has been Allen Robinson. Now, it seems like the player is less than satisfied with his team. He is a free agent that is going to be looking for a lot of money. e is one of the 10-15 best receivers in the game and he wants to be paid as such.

The Chicago Bears might be in danger of losing Allen Robinson if they don’t figure it out.

There are reports that the Bears and Robinson haven’t worked on a contract in a long time now. That is horrible management by Ryan Pace and his staff. This is one of the best players on the team and certainly the best offensive player to come through during the Pace era. He has 200 receptions and only four drops in the past two seasons with some pretty bad quarterbacks throwing him the ball. If this dude went to a team that had a stud quarterback, watch out.

You can tell that Allen Robinson is upset with the way things are going just based on his Twitter activity. He replies to people agreeing that the way NFL free agency works is bad and he has liked plenty of tweets that suggest his disappointment in the Bears along with his free agency market. It is just all a bad look that can be avoided if the Bears just did their business.

If the Bears are able to bring him back, they could really turn things around on offense if they make more solid moves around him. Trading up in the draft for a good young quarterback that can form a relationship with Robinson could help get him signed long term. There is the option of franchise tagging him as well if they aren’t able to get a deal done.

There are also reports out there that they might franchise tag him and then trade him right away. That would be a terrible move because then the Bears will really be thin at the position unless another very good one is coming back. It is hard to imagine someone as good as Allen Robinson coming along for a while but you never know.

It is unsettling as a Chicago Bears fan that nothing seems to go right these days. They built this awesome defense and went 12-4 with it but it has just been mediocrity and disappointment ever since. It seems like Allen Robinson’s disappointment is going to lead to more of that in the coming weeks. If things don’t turn around quickly for this franchise, there needs to start being some changes.
