Chicago Bulls Rumors: 3 sizzling Zach LaVine trades with Miami Heat
By Ryan Heckman
In a blockbuster deal, the Chicago Bulls deal Lauri Markkanen and Zach LaVine
In this final deal, the Heat go back to including forward Duncan Robinson in the mix. Except, he’s one of three players traded to Chicago in a blockbuster.
Chicago would not only get Robinson, but also Dragic and guard Avery Bradley.
At 30 years old, Bradley is not a spring chicken. But, he still brings plenty of experience and a defensive mentality to the Bulls, which is something they could use if not just for continuing to teach their young core.
Bradley and Dragic would likely be gone after this season, making this trade all about Robinson and the pair of firsts. It’s a decent haul, but the Bulls are also giving up LaVine as well as Lauri Markkanen.
For the Heat, this is a win-now deal. Adding Markkanen, the Heat would only have him for this year unless they decided to bring him back in free agency this offseason. LaVine, meanwhile, has a deal that goes through next season as well.
With Bam Adebayo, Jimmy Butler, LaVine and Markkanen, the Heat would be a force to be reckoned with. This would be as good a shot they’d have to win a championship.
The Bulls would be completely dedicated to the future, with plenty of money to spend and a couple of extra first-round picks now.
