The Chicago Bulls deal Zach LaVine to get a pair of forwards and a pick

In this first trade, the Bulls would be sending just Zach LaVine to the Heat. In exchange, the Bulls would get, first and foremost, a player who can instill more of what this young team needs most.

Andre Iguodala was one of the most complete players in all of basketball for a very long time. Coming to the Bulls, he’s obviously a bit older and isn’t the same player he once was. But, to be able to work with these guys and mentor them for a short period of time makes him a valuable asset.

The Bulls need a toughness and more of a defensive edge to them, so that’s what the Iguodala portion of the deal is for.

Secondly, the Bulls get a young forward in Duncan Robinson, who was instrumental in the Heat’s playoff run last year. Currently, Robinson is averaging 12.5 points, 3.8 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game while shooting the long ball at a 39.9 percent clip.

Robinson immediately slots in as the Bulls’ starting small forward of the future and gives Chicago an intriguing pairing at forward down the line with he and rookie Patrick Williams.

Lastly, the Bulls get a future first-round pick which wouldn’t come until at least 2022. The Heat have a lot of picks going out in the future, but their 2022 first is still currently available. Adding a young asset like Robinson and getting a first-round pick makes this a worthwhile deal involving LaVine.
