T.Y. Hilton showed over the latter half of 2020 that he has more to offer a team like the Chicago Bears

The Indianapolis Colts are pretty close to competing for a Super Bowl. The only question is, who will be their quarterback in 2021? That’s the biggest part of their offseason, just like the Bears.

Another question, though, is whether they will be bringing T.Y. Hilton back. After nine seasons, Hilton could be looking at finding his second team in the NFL. At one point, some thought he was done. Hilton mostly made his mark on the league during the career of Andrew Luck. But, since Luck left Indy, Hilton’s game took a turn.

Last year, though, he saw a huge swing in momentum down the latter portion of the year. Through the first nine games of 2020, Hilton didn’t catch a single touchdown. However, he ended the year with five. Over the last few games of the year, Hilton looked as though he had risen from the dead.

Or, maybe it was just that Philip Rivers figured out how to get him the ball. Regardless, Hilton’s usage went up and the Colts’ offense benefited.

In Chicago, Hilton could provide the Bears with a sure-handed receiver who can line up in multiple spots. He’d be a heck of a mentor to Darnell Mooney, but most importantly, he’d have some football left to offer the Bears.
