Could A.J. Green have something left to offer the Chicago Bears?

This may or may not depend on whether the Bears re-sign Allen Robinson, but A.J. Green is likely out in Cincinnati. After nine seasons with the Bengals and seven Pro Bowls, he could finally be looking for a new team.

The Bengals are a rebuilding team and have one of the game’s more promising quarterbacks in last year’s no. 1 pick Joe Burrow. Of course, Burrow is recovering from a nasty knee injury last year that could keep him out a few games in 2021 yet.

But, Cincinnati drafted Tee Higgins last year who became Burrow’s go-to guys and looks like he’ll be heavily involved going forward. Green’s days as a Bengal appear to be done.

If he came to Chicago, Green would provide the Bears’ offense with a towering target for whomever the quarterback ends up being. The biggest question with Green, at this stage in his career, is whether or not he can stay healthy. Green’s struggle recently has been staying on the field.

But, if he’s healthy, this is a guy who simply catches the football and is as dependable as they come. Green has had six career 1,000-yard seasons and has been one of the most consistent receivers in the league over the past decade.

If the Bears are somehow unable to bring back Robinson, the thought of Green becomes that much more intriguing.
