The Chicago Bulls deal Coby White to the West Coast

Don’t look now, but a first-round pick from the Golden State Warriors might not be as high as you think. At 13-12 and currently the 8th seed in the Western Conference, the Warriors are no longer a laughing stock like they were without their superstars last season.

With Klay Thompson still out this season, it’s been up to Stephen Curry to lead the charge. Behind Curry, it’s a whole lot of work from just about everyone else on the roster. The Warriors are getting scoring from everybody, and in bits and pieces. Adding White could be a huge boost for the rest of the year.

Going to Golden State, you have to imagine White would take a back seat to Thompson without hesitation once he comes back. In Chicago, there’s really no one to threaten him out of his starting role. But, as a sixth man in Golden State? That’s a dream job once the Warriors get healthy.

There are plenty more titles to be won by the Warriors, so long as they have Curry and Thompson out on the floor. Getting a kid who can provide double digits off the bench — at minimum — feels like a steal for the Warriors.

On Chicago’s end, a first-round pick is a nice return, but they would also get a future second rounder and guard Damion Lee in return, who could provide some bench depth for the Bulls.
