Orlando Brown is worth a Chicago Bears first-round pick

If the Chicago Bears were serious about winning in 2021, they need to fix the offensive line. If that doesn’t happen, Ryan Pace and Matt Nagy are going to be fired. For that reason, they might be willing to trade away next year’s first-round pick in exchange for Orlando Brown. The Bears would have to be confident that this acquisition along with a few other moves would make them a contender. That would make that 2022 pick in the mid-low 20s.

Some people might wonder why the Bears wouldn’t use this year’s first-round pick instead. Well, the Ravens are an elite football team so they might not need to pick 20th. They might rather take their chances on the pick being even better in 2022. As for the Bears, they really need that 20th pick this year. They can use that on another tackle, a quarterback, or a skilled weapon.

When you are giving up a first-round pick in any year, you have to be sure that you are getting something that you need. There is no doubt that a Pro Bowl offensive tackle (especially on the left) is something that the Bears need. Having a better quarterback would be a waste without it.
