Walker Little. 3. Scouting Report. OT. Stanford. player. 57. Pick Analysis

A year ago, Stanford offensive tackle Walker Little was talked about as one of the top five or six at his position in the nation. Some analysts even had him as a sure fire lock for the first round. The most amazing part was, that’s even after Little was coming off a knee injury he suffered in September of 2019.

Following his recovery, Little opted out of the 2020 season, which would see his draft stock take a hit. We haven’t seen him play in a year and a half, therefore his stock is more unknown at this point. But, at pick no. 70 in the third round, snagging a player like Little is a no-brainer. This is one heck of a pick for the Bears.

Little stands 6-foot-7 and projects as an eventual starter at left tackle, protecting Carson Wentz’s blind side. He’s a much better pass protector than he is run blocker, but his size and athleticism still allows him to be above average at his position. Little has excellent length due to that frame and he moves well with it.

We are not sure whether it will be Leno or Massie who is cut, but the fact remains that the Bears should end up releasing one of them, which gives a rookie the immediate chance at stepping in and starting. With the Bears going offensive tackle two picks in a row, both may end up being in serious danger — and that’s a good thing.
