Kansas City Chiefs

Some people want the Chicago Bears to be made fun of as much as possible for their mistakes until they start to show they aren’t a clown franchise. They pretty much have been a bad franchise for a long time yet nobody puts them in the same category as the Washington Football Team or Cleveland  Brons for some reason. They deserve that because they consistently do the most important things wrong and that is why they never make deep playoff runs.

Of course, the Kansas City Chiefs are the example of the Bears’ biggest failure. It might even be the biggest mistake in the history of the franchise. During the 2017 NFL Draft, they traded up to select Mitchell Trubisky with the second overall pick. With selection number ten, the Chiefs took Patrick Mahomes. Now, Mahomes already looks like one of the greatest quarterbacks who ever lived. The Bears passing up on him looks like it might help the Chiefs be the next great dynasty.

The Chiefs have now been in the AFC Championship for three straight years. In year one, a pre-snap penalty kept them from winning the game and going to the Super Bowl where they probably would have defeated the Los Angeles Rams. Last season, they made it better by winning the Super Bowl and are now back for more this year. That could have been the Chicago Bears if they were better at scouting/drafting.

Even if they took Deshaun Watson, they might be in this position. You can’t be sure but you know they probably would have been better than 8-8. If the Chiefs win again, maybe it would inspire the Bears to actually figure things out. We aren’t hopeful, however.
