The Chicago Bears trade Khalil Mack for a trio of picks and a wide receiver

The first unorthodox trade scenario includes dealing Mack to a tough, hard-nosed head coach in Joe Judge whose defense took a huge leap in 2020. The Giants have their issues offensively, but getting Saquon Barkley back and adding help along the offensive line will greatly assist in that department.

Now, getting a player like Mack integrated into that defense could make them a top-5 unit next year. Believe it or not, the Giants finished last season as the no. 9 overall scoring defense in the NFL and allowed the 12th fewest yards. This was no slouch of a unit, and if they were to add Mack, the sky is the limit.

Again, New York’s major problems lie on the offensive side of the ball where their offensive line is one of the worst in football. That has to be a priority this offseason, but hypothetically speaking, netting a player of Mack’s caliber would have to be something they’d at least consider, should he become available.

Now, the Bears could potentially snag a guy like Trey Lance at no. 11 overall. Or, they could package that no. 11 pick and their own no. 20 pick to move up even higher to get one of the top three quarterbacks. Either way, the likelihood of a franchise quarterback in Chicago grows much stronger with this deal.
