The Chicago Bears should be doing whatever they can to acquire more 2021 NFL Draft capital.

The first and foremost reason why, of course, is because of their impending pursuit at fixing the quarterback position. This year’s draft class has three or four very strong first-round talents, and potentially another one which could go later in the first round.

That later first rounder, Mac Jones, may or may not solve the quarterback position for the future. But, if the Bears were able to package enough assets to move up and select one of Justin Fields, Zach Wilson or Trey Lance, the chances of landing a franchise quarterback goes way up.

Other than quarterback, the Bears need to address the offensive line early on in the draft. Specifically, they need help at the tackle position. Additionally, adding a wide receiver will be a must. Allen Robinson may end up leaving the Bears via free agency, unless he is tagged, and Anthony Miller very well could be cut.

Moving up in the draft for either a quarterback, or a player the Bears really like at another position, in the middle rounds will require extra capital. Therefore, dealing a player or two may be the best option to get that done.

In trading one of the following players, the Bears will also free up a little bit of salary, which will be very necessary this offseason when it comes to addressing quarterback, if they do so via free agency.
