Chicago Bears should consider every one of these QB options
Daniel Jones is a bit of a question mark. The New York Giants drafted him way higher than he was projected to go as he went with the 6th overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft. You have to respect them for going for their guy but he certainly could have been had with a lower pick. There are a few scenarios in which the Giants move on from Jones, however. If they do, he would be worth a try for the Bears despite not being a long term option.
The Giants might have some assets that they are willing to give up for Deshaun Watson as well. That could mean that Daniel Jones is available if he isn’t a part of the package. It isn’t like he is a massive upgrade over Trubisky but he probably has a higher ceiling at this point.
Jones, when he is on, can make some really accurate throws. The problem for him is that he isn’t always on. It isn’t like the Giants are surrounding him with a lot of good receivers either. He has a good running back but that has been about it. Matt Nagy’s job beyond 2021 depends on him helping the offense score more points so taking a chance on Jones could happen if he is the last option on the table.
