Round 4, 139th overall

IDL. Texas AM. Bobby Brown III. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. 4. player. 873

The Chicago Bears have more immediate needs on their roster than the defensive line. That being said, Bobby Brown III stands out as a strong value pick for the team in this range and a great fit for their defensive attack.

The Chicago Bears select Bobby Brown III in the fourth round of this 2021 NFL mock draft.

The Bears have a strong starting defensive line in place for the 2021 season, with Akiem Hicks, Eddie Goldman and Bilal Nichols set to lead the way. That being said, both Hicks and Nichols will hit free agency after the 2021 season. Adding Brown to the mix a year early would allow Chicago to move on from either Hicks or Nichols if they wish.

Brown is a thick and powerful defensive lineman who holds his own well at the point of attack. He has long arms and shows fantastic ability as a two-gap defender. Against the run, Brown can step in and make an immediate impact. However, he also shows solid quickness off of the ball and has some interesting upside as a pass rusher from the inside. Having Brown around would help protect the Bears against potential defensive line losses next offseason.

The Chicago Bears have more pressing needs on their roster but Brown still stands out as a strong fit for the team here. Adding him in the fourth round of this 2021 NFL mock draft undoubtedly makes sense.
