Round 3, 83rd overall

player. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Spencer Brown. 3. 57. OT. Northern Iowa

Offensive tackle stands out as a major position of need for the Chicago Bears and spending that second-round pick to trade up for a quarterback could hurt their ability to find the right guy in the draft. That being said, the Bears get a bit lucky in this 2021 NFL mock draft, as Northern Iowa offensive tackle Spencer Brown falls to them in the third round.

The Chicago Bears address their offensive tackle need.

Brown is a relatively raw prospect but his combination of length and movement skills at the right tackle position is rare. The UNI product gets back into a vertical set extremely quickly and does a fantastic job of keeping his feet moving in pass protection. He uses his length to his advantage extremely well on the edge and even shows some solid power at the point of attack.

Spencer Brown also does a nice job of maintaining his balance and has the quickness needed to attack to the second level in the run game. Simply put, he is an exciting offensive line prospect who has obvious value as both a run blocker and pass protector. The Chicago Bears must make the offensive line a priority this offseason and snagging Brown here in the third round of this 2021 NFL mock draft feels like a great opportunity.
