Chicago Bears: What to watch for at the 2021 Senior Bowl

3. Adding a quarterback on day three can be accomplished in Mobile for the Chicago Bears
The words of Ryan Pace wanting to draft a quarterback every year still echo to this day, mainly because Pace’s only draft pick at quarterback turned out to be a major failure. However, there are four prospects worth keeping an eye on: Kellen Mond (Texas A&M), Ian Book (Notre Dame), Mac Jones (Alabama), and Jamie Newman (Wake Forest).
Of the four names listed above, Jones is projected to be a first-rounder and someone the Bears could draft with the 20th overall pick. However, Mond, Book, and Newman are all day three prospects. Mond and Newman are two options that offer significant upside.
There is one aspect that needs to be understood: While neither of the quarterbacks at the Senior Bowl have franchise quarterback written over them, taking a fresh approach and overhauling the entire rook could benefit the Bears in 2021 and well beyond.
While Chicago could use a high pick on a quarterback, they should also look to double down and select another one on day three of the 2021 NFL Draft. This would allow Nagy and the offensive coaching staff to continue to develop a young quarterback who could become a good backup for years to come.
