As mentioned before, it would be silly for the Lions to not consider trading Matthew Stafford to a division rival because they can probably squeeze more out of them. A team starving for a good quarterback like the Bears might really be willing to pay the price too. That previously mentioned roster player that could have to join a first-round and third-round pick would need to be a good one and the Lions have plenty of holes to fill.

Let’s start with the secondary. The Detroit Lions really need some help there. A guy like Kyle Fuller or Eddie Jackson might be worthy of a trade if it means that the Bears are getting a very good quarterback. The Lions would love to have one of those guys, especially Fuller, and the Bears have a good enough defense to take the hit. It would surely be a big hit but they are clearly going nowhere without a quarterback so it is worth a try.

Detroit might also be in the market for a wide receiver. They could lose Marvin Jones and Northern Illinois University’s own Kenny Golladay in free agency so they should be thinking ahead. We all know that Anthony Miller needs a change of scenery so shipping him out might be worth it. Any of these players mentioned could really help Detroit and some of their needs while the Bears finally get their quarterback.
