Chicago Bears should add one of these free agents from Green Bay
By Ryan Heckman
The Chicago Bears have some catching up to do with their divisional foe and could look to add a player or two from the Green Bay Packers this offseason.
While the Bears have some big questions to answer this offseason, specifically at the quarterback position, these Packers have similar questions. Chicago must find a franchise quarterback, or at least a strong veteran via trade to come in and start.
The Bears are essentially a quarterback away from competing for a championship, and general manager Ryan Pace must make that a reality. Meanwhile in Green Bay, the Packers could see some big changes after failing to reach the Super Bowl in a season which saw them finish as the number one seed in the NFC.
After the game, Aaron Rodgers admitted there are several guys’ futures who are up in the air, him included — something he’s alluded to since the drafting of Jordan Love back in the first round of last year’s draft.
Even after such a great season, the Packers just might see Rodgers dealt to a different team in the offseason. But, that’s a conversation for a different day.
Not only do the Bears need a quarterback, but they have a few other positions of need as they go into full-fledged offseason mode. Maybe, they could turn to the Packers and some of their impending free agents as a source for filling those holes.
A few Packers, in particular, would come in and fit well with what the Bears currently need, starting at wide receiver.
