Dak Prescott deserves a blank check from the Chicago Bears

Who knows what the future holds for Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys? Jerry Jones is as unpredictable and temperamental as they come. The fact that the Cowboys didn’t get a deal done with Prescott last year speaks volumes. Now, Prescott is coming off a year where he appeared in a handful of games before missing the rest of the year due to injury.

If I’m Pace, he’s the first priority on my free agency checklist. When free agency rolls around, Pace should simply call Prescott’s agent and let him know the Bears are willing to pay whatever he wants.

Sure, the Bears would have to shed some salary and likely part ways with one of their top defensive players in the process, while also losing out on Allen Robinson. But, if that means being able to get Dak Prescott to Chicago, it’s all worth it.

One positive in this scenario is that the Bears get to keep their draft picks and select players in the top three rounds for the first time in a long time. Get Prescott to the Bears, then draft help at offensive tackle and wide receiver with two of those first three picks.
