Chicago Bears: 5 impulsive trades to quickly fix quarterback position

Trade 2: The Chicago Bears deal for a consistent pro in Matt Ryan
Things are going to start heating up in Atlanta. The Falcons could opt to go full-on rebuild this offseason and select a quarterback with that fourth overall pick. Before they do, though, trading Matt Ryan would become a priority.
The Bears are a perfect candidate for a veteran like Ryan, who can throw for 4,000 yards and 20-plus touchdowns practically at will. It’s just what he does.
Bringing Ryan’s leadership and experience to Atlanta is great and all, but that’s what the Bears thought they were getting in Foles. Ryan is different — he’s a great quarterback. He not only has plenty of experience, but he’s been around and performed at a high level for over a decade now.
This is the type of move that gets the Bears into “win-now” mode and could end up keeping Pace around longer than just 2021.
If Atlanta wants to trade Ryan, it might not take a blockbuster package of draft picks because of the fact that the league will know their intent to trade him. Still, for a Pro Bowl guy and a quarterback with his pedigree, the Bears will have to fork over a couple of valuable picks.
