Chicago Bears: 5 players who shouldn’t return in 2021
Chicago Bears say goodbye to another wide receiver
Another wide receiver whose time must come to an end is Anthony Miller. The former second-round draft pick has been nothing short of a colossal disappointment since being drafted in 2018. He was supposed to be the perfect pairing for Mitchell Trubisky opposite star No. 1 wide receiver Allen Robinson. In many ways, his Bears career has been similar to Trubisky’s. Both had high expectations, have been very inconsistent and have failed to meet their respective expectations.
Miller, like Wims, has been very vocal on social media with his criticism, and it feels like yesterday’s incident may be the final straw.
Despite the team showing their wide receivers 15 minutes of film on Chauncey Gardner-Johnson’s antics, and imploring them to ignore it and not let it get under their skin, Miller’s immaturity got the best of him, and he was ejected from the game for unsportsmanlike conduct.
Matt Nagy and he appeared to have an intense conversation on the sidelines in which Nagy likely had some choice words for Miller as Miller broke away from Nagy, clearly irritated.
While Miller may have all the talent in the world, he has not consistently put it together on the field, and he is certainly not performing at a level high enough where you can live with his immaturity and antics.
For those reasons, there is a strong possibility Miller has played his last game for the Chicago Bears.
