The Chicago Bears should consider trading some of their stars during this upcoming offseason.

The Chicago Bears had an incredibly strange season in 2020. You all know by now about how they started 5-1, then lost six straight, then won three of their last four to become an 8-8 playoff team. They were the seventh seed in the NFC postseason which landed them a date with the New Orleans Saints. That game did not go well for Chicago and they were beaten handily by the Saints and eliminated for the season. Going into 2021, it is pretty clear that some changes are needed.

Of course, there are a lot of people who believe that Matt Nagy, Ryan Pace, and many other people in high places need to go. Those people are spot on but it isn’t just them. The players deserve some blame as well. They are the ones on the field and there are plenty of them who have not lived up to the expectations that have been placed on them. More importantly, some haven’t lived up to the assets that were given up to get them.

It is sad to say but this team is exactly what we thought it was. It has an okay roster but the coaching staff wasn’t able to get the most out of it. That probably means that a rebuild is necessary. The playoff berth might have saved a job or two but it really shouldn’t. Nobody can watch that game against the Saints and conclude that they can fix this quickly.

If they were to make some big-time changes, it might be time to trade some of the bigger names. Of course, some names might be harder to trade than others because of cap hit or production level but anything can happen. If they were to trade a star, one of these three would make the most sense:
