The Chicago Bears must part ways with Bill Lazor

Yep, that’s right. This is a full-on house clean by the Bears. Not only should the Bears fire Pace, but also Nagy and both of his coordinators.

Lazor did a fine job calling plays when given the opportunity against lesser defenses, but beyond that short stint, he’s never been the best play-caller. He’s hardly been a worthy offensive coordinator, in fact.

Back when the Bears hired him, most assumed this was just a formality; to solely fill a cubicle, for instance. There was a job opening, and that job wasn’t going to entail much with Nagy calling plays, but they hired a guy and made it seem like it meant something.

It didn’t.

Moving forward, the Bears need to find a leader of men at the head coach position. They need someone who can instill accountability and a winning culture. Meanwhile, the coordinators should be coaches who are exceptional at that area of the game. The next offensive coordinator should be responsible for calling plays. The next defensive coordinator should be a wizard when it comes to creating havoc.

Moving on from the major coaches and general manager would send a clear message to the fans that this franchise is ready to truly get back on the right track and build around the talent they have on the roster already. It’s time for big-time change, and it should happen soon.
