4. Cole Kmet, Jaylon Johnson, and the rest of the Chicago Bears 2020 rookies

Whenever the Bears 2020 draft class got an opportunity to see the field in 2020, Cole Kmet, Darnell Mooney, and Jaylon Johnson each showed flashes of why they’ll be big pieces of the Bears moving forward.

Despite not having a first-round pick, the Bears did their homework on the 2020 NFL Draft. Anytime you’re able to come away with three future starters composed of mainly day two and three draft picks in the NFL, you’ve got a pretty successful draft class.

Mooney and Johnson burst onto the scene earlier in the year. Meanwhile, Kmet was behind veterans Jimmy Graham and Demetrius Harris during the first half of the season before taking over many of the first-team snaps at tight end come November and December.

Later in the year, cornerback Kindle Vildor, a fifth-round pick, was also given some reps due to Johnson’s shoulder injury. His play too, made people wonder if the Bears have a fourth future starter on the roster who could burst onto the scene sometime in 2021.
