1. The Chicago Bears have a first-round draft pick in the 2021 NFL Draft

For the first time in three years, the Bears will have a first-round pick. Slated to pick at 20th overall, there are a number of routes that the Bears could when they’re finally on the board come April. However, there are two positions to keep in mind specifically: Offensive Tackle and quarterback.

In what is expected to be a deep draft class at both positions, Chicago will have the opportunity to add an impact player at offensive tackle. Early names to know are Christian Darrisaw (Virginia Tech), Rashawn Slater (Northwestern), Jaylen Mayfield (Michigan), and Liam Eichenberg (Notre Dame). All four should be realistic targets for the Bears.

Quarterback is a bit of a different situation. The Bears won’t have a chance at Trevor Lawrence (Clemson) and while Justin Fields (Ohio State) could be an option, they’ll need to trade up for Fields. However, Zach Wilson (BYU), Trey Lance (NDSU), and Mac Jones (Alabama) are targets to watch. There is a chance the Bears have to trade up for Wilson, however Lance or Jones could be on the board at 20th overall.

If the Bears don’t select quarterback or offensive tackle, adding a wide receiver could also be an option, depending on what happens with Allen Robinson moving forward. However, if Robinson doesn’t return, the Bears could add a new number one wide receiver to pair with whoever will be the starting quarterback next season.
