What are five reasons that the Chicago Bears should be excited for in 2021?

It’s over. In an embarrassing fashion, like many of us expected, the Chicago Bears season ended at the hands of the New Orleans Saints on Sunday evening. While the Bears were in the game during the first half, Chicago could never keep up with the Saints , faltering in the second half.

With the Bears now officially in hibernation, it’s time to look forward to 2021. The upcoming offseason will be about answering multiple questions. First, what will the state of the quarterback position look like? Will the Bears retain Trubisky or draft someone who can be mentored by veteran Nick Foles? The latter seems more likely.

Second, what will become of the Bears football operations? Will there be a new general manager running the show? But will that mean that Ryan Pace is outright fired or will he be reassigned within the organization? While it’s likely that head coach Matt Nagy returns, there are a number of questions that he’ll need to answer, including can he finally get the offense to work? Furthermore, if there is a new quarterback in town, how much input will Nagy have regarding what to do about the quarterback situation?

Then there are the players. While the big question is quarterback, we have to understand that the Bears do have a number of key building blocks on both sides of the ball. These building blocks include Roquan Smith, Jaylon Johnson, Darnell Mooney, Bilal Nichols, Cole Kmet, David Montgomery, and others.

With the Bears offseason officially beginning, what are five reasons that Bears fans should be excited for as the 2021 offseason gets underway? Let’s examine some and find out.
