The Chicago Bears will face off against the New Orleans Saints in the Wild Card playoffs on Sunday. Here’s why you should check out the game on Nickelodeon.

If you’ve been following the Chicago Bears all season, it feels kind of odd to say that they’re in the playoffs. The team got destroyed 35-16 by division rival Green Bay Packers in Week 17 but managed to get into the playoffs at 8-8 due to some help from the Los Angeles Rams.

After the Rams beat the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday, it boosted the Bears into the final playoff spot in the NFC. Two additional playoff games were added to the NFL schedule this year as a reaction to the Coronavirus pandemic and the impacts it could have on the regular season.

Regarding the Bears, it certainly doesn’t feel like this team is a playoff team. They went on a six-game losing streak in the middle of the season, and the team benched quarterback Mitch Trubisky in Week 3.

The team went back to Trubisky after backup Nick Foles was mediocre and got injured in Week 10. The Bears managed to win three straight games late in the season with Trubisky under center, but they faced some of the worst defenses in the NFL in that stretch.

After the six-game skid, it seemed as if coach Matt Nagy had even lost the locker room. He had few answers and later handed over play-calling duties to offensive coordinator Bill Lazor. It seems as if he’s survived as there are reports he will be back next season.

The game on Sunday may not be pretty, but there’s a good reason to check it out no matter what the score ends up being.

Sunday’s Bears/Saints Wild Card game will air on CBS, but there will also be a special broadcast on the children’s channel Nickelodeon. Here are three reasons why you should watch this game on Nickelodeon. Remember, you could still have a blast even if you don’t have kids.
