Chicago Bears trade candidates for Deshaun Watson: Jaylon Johnson

Last season, the Texans were one of the worst pass defenses in all of football, giving up over 4,000 yards through the air. Houston also allowed an opposing passer rating of over 109 while allowing 30 passing touchdowns on the season. Needless to say, this is an area of focus for them over the offseason.

If the Bears wanted to compile a multi-player deal for Watson, they could include last year’s second rounder out of Utah, Jaylon Johnson. The rookie corner played very well for the most part this season, before going down to injury over the last few games.

Johnson and Kyle Fuller led the NFL in combined opposing quarterback rating for quite some time this season to start the year. Johnson showed why he could very well have been a first-round pick.

If the Bears were to include Johnson in a trade, they would likely need it to be in a deal with multiple players coming from Chicago. In addition, the Bears would have to throw in a pair of first-round picks. Two players, two first rounders and likely another pick or two in middle rounds would make the most sense for a player like Watson.
