Deshaun Watson in a Chicago Bears uniform? It is slowly becoming a possibility.

The 2020 season featured some highs and lows for the Chicago Bears, but no storyline was bigger than the 6-game losing streak this team endured in the middle of the year. Amidst the losing streak was also an overflowing frustration around the quarterback position.

There seemed to be no real answer for the Bears — at least no answer on the current roster, that is. Both Nick Foles and Mitchell Trubisky have shown their struggles this season, but the Bears have seemed more effective on offense with the latter.

Speaking of quarterback storylines, the Houston Texans have one of their own brewing. Franchise quarterback Deshaun Watson is seemingly growing more and more frustrated with the team.

According to a report just days ago, Watson has mentioned the possibility of requesting a trade to some of his teammates.

After all, the Texans have self-sabotaged themselves in a multitude of ways over the last couple of years and Watson should be frustrated. He should be sick of the incompetence. On top of selling so many assets, the Texans have also upset Watson with a recent hiring at general manager.

Houston hired Nick Caserio, formerly of the New England Patriots, to become their new general manager this week. Watson sent a tweet out on that day that simply said, “some things never change,” and he was referring to the fact that he had asked the Texans to consider a list of names he had given them for the vacancy.

Houston proceeded to hire Caserio, who was not on that list of names. The Texans didn’t even approach Watson about their general manager search. He wasn’t involved in any way, shape or form. So, to say he deserves to be upset about how this organization has been run in recent years is an understatement.

If Watson does actually request a trade, it would take a haul to get him to the Bears. But, the chance for Ryan Pace to correct the mistake he made four years ago? It’s well-worth just about anything Houston could ask for, starting with one or a combination of the following players.
