In Round 2, at pick 52, the Chicago Bears add an explosive wide receiver

Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Rondale Moore. player. WR. Purdue. 2. 57

The receiver position could be different next year for the Bears, depending upon what happens with Allen Robinson. Regardless, it’s unclear whether or not this team has a strong option at their third receiver anymore. Darnell Mooney snatched the second starting spot from Anthony Miller, who has been forgettable this season..

The perfect fill-in for this depth chart could slide to the Bears at no. 52 overall. Purdue’s Rondae Moore is one of the most explosive, exciting players in this entire draft class and the Bears’ offense would love to have a playmaker like him.

At just 5-foot-9, Moore’s biggest knock on him is his height — and he’s well aware of that knock.

"“When people ask the (height) question, for me it’s like, ‘You have the film, you can see what I can do. If it scares you that much, then cool. Pass on me.’” (via NFL.com)"

Moore is a feisty competitor who is also a great person off the field. This guy could evolve into a Tyreek Hill type for the Bears if all goes in his favor. You’re looking at a kid who has incredible strength for his size but also possesses 4.33 speed.

His last two seasons haven’t been great when it comes to numbers, but Purdue also has not been a very good program. Two years ago, Moore put up 114 receptions for 1,258 yards and 12 touchdowns when he had David Blough throwing him the football. Over the past two years, quarterback play hasn’t been ideal.

The best part about Moore is that he has experience rushing the ball as well as returning on special teams. He could be used in a variety of ways, again, similarly to Hill in Kansas City.
