3. Chicago Bulls trade Zach LaVine for huge haul from Knicks

Lastly, the Bulls could entertain quite the haul from the New York Knicks. In exchange for LaVine, the Bulls would get two players and three total picks.

For the Knicks, this move would be simply about adding a bigger name whom they could potentially build around. Getting LaVine would give them one of the better players they’ve had in a while, and hopefully could help attract additional free agents alongside RJ Barrett.

The Bulls, meanwhile, would land a pair of younger players in forward Kevin Knox and guard Dennis Smith Jr. Now, whether or not they hang onto those guys long-term is another question. But, for now, it gives Chicago some more youth.

The big part of this deal is the fact that Chicago would net three picks, including two first rounders. The 2021 first-round pick comes by way of the Los Angeles Clippers, which would end up being later in the round. But, the first-round pick next year comes straight from the Knicks, which may end up being a top-5 pick.

Chicago also gets a second rounder this year by way of Charlotte, which could end up being towards the top of the round.

In the end, Siegel did a great job with these trade scenarios and all are worth pondering if you’re the Bulls. If there’s one that jumps out the most, it’s this last one, though. The Bulls could come away with some major draft capital going forward.
