1. Chicago Bears rumored quarterback target: Dak Prescott

When the Cowboys and Dak Prescott did not come to an agreement on a contract extension this past offseason, it was officially “go time” for the veteran quarterback. The man chose to bet on himself, and began his 2020 season with a bang.

In his first start of 2020, Prescott threw for 266 yards and a score while the Rams kept him contained, mostly.

But then, a special streak began. Prescott ripped off three games in a row with 450 or more passing yards and eight passing touchdowns in total. He also rushed for three touchdowns in Week 2, giving him 11 touchdowns in those three games.

In Week 5, Prescott’s season took a turn when he went down with a gruesome season-ending injury and was ultimately replaced by Andy Dalton.

What could have been, had Prescott never gotten hurt? He very well might have set some serious records in 2020. But now, he is amidst a long recovery in order to be ready for the 2021 campaign. The real question is, where will he play?

Robert Zeglinski of Windy City Gridiron recently wrote a pretty simple thought on the Bears’ 2021 offseason:

"“The Bears are going to trim off the fat of defenders that aren’t core pieces (you can decide who that describes) in cap casualties, give Rayne Dakota Prescott a blank check when he hits free agency, and draft a left tackle in the first round to be his personal bodyguard.”"

That’s one heck of a prediction for Chicago — one every single fan could get behind, without a doubt.

If Prescott did indeed choose to sign in Chicago, the Bears would have to be thinking Super Bowl. One other major implication if Prescott came to the Bears? Allen Robinson would have to return; somehow, some way.
