2. Robert Quinn has been a weak link for the Chicago Bears all year long

Against the Packers, the one thing you absolutely must do is get hits on Aaron Rodgers. This is a no-brainer. If a team cannot get their hands on him, Rodgers will pick that defense apart just as he’s done to every other team all season long. This is a potential league MVP the Bears are having to take on in their final game of the year, and the pass rush is priority no. 1.

More from Da Windy City

The Bears signed Robert Quinn to a monstrous $70 million deal in the offseason to replace who fans thought was a lost cause in Leonard Floyd. Boy, that turned out to be a mistake.

Quinn’s signing looked like one heck of an addition. Pairing he and Khalil Mack together on the edge seemed like a match made in heaven. Last season with the Cowboys, Quinn totaled 11.5 sacks, 22 quarterback hits and 13 tackles for loss. It was an impressive year for a guy who was also top-5 in overall pressures in the league.

This season has been the worst year of Quinn’s career — and that’s not an understatement. Quinn is producing career-low numbers in the most important categories, sacks (2.0) and quarterback hits (four).

Here’s the shocking statistic: Aside from his two sacks, Quinn has zero — yes, zero — tackles for loss.

That is inexcusable for a guy getting paid such a large amount of money to do exactly that. His lone responsibility on this team is to get to the quarterback and make plays in the back field.

If Chicago can’t count on pressure from Quinn, the Packers know exactly which side of the line to take advantage of. Rodgers will know he’ll have a whole lot more opportunity on Quinn’s side.
