6. IOL Deonte Brown, Alabama

Another Alabama interior offensive lineman, Deonte Brown is another option that the Bears need to keep an eye on throughout the college football playoffs. The best teams in the NFL continue to make investing in the offensive line a priority. The Bears can accomplish that by drafting Brown.

Considering the Bears have made it a priority that David Montgomery is the team’s future at running back, they’ll need to add offensive lineman who fits what head coach Matt Nagy wants to do in the running game. Brown is an excellent player in the running game. He’s aggressive in the running game and his strength and awareness is on display whenever Alabama is running the football.

In a way, you could argue that Brown is a more enticing prospect than his counterpart Landon Dickerson. When the predraft process kicks off, don’t be surprised to see Brown opening some eyes.

Overall, Brown is one guy to keep an eye on as the Bears look to address the offensive line during the upcoming offseason. His skillset and aggressiveness in the running game make him an appealing option for a team that’s shown it’s willing to make the running back the focal point of the offense.
