3. LB Dylan Moses, Alabama

Danny Trevathan isn’t getting and younger and while Roquan Smith has been playing at an All-Pro level in 2020, the Bears know that at some point over the next two years, they’ll need to replace Trevathan. Enter Dylan Moses, who was considered by many to be the best linebacker in the 2021 NFL Draft back over the summer.

Moses may not be selected in the first round, however, he is worth keeping an eye on. When watching Moses, the first word that comes to mind is physicality. Playing middle linebacker, he’s physical in every aspect of the game, especially as a hitter. While his technique isn’t necessarily perfect, there is more good than bad and the technical issues are something that can be fixed with the right coaching at the next level.

The last three years at Alabama have proven that Moses is ready to be an impact defender at the next level. Despite missing the 2019 season due to a torn ACL, he’s rebounded nicely in 2020 with 64 tackles, six tackles for loss, and one sack.

Overall, Moses is a player right now that is going to slip in the 2021 NFL Draft merely because teams will be focused on addressing key positions like quarterback, wide receiver, and offensive line. However, for the purpose of the college football playoffs, he’s a name that is worth watching as someone who is going to be a game-changer.
