5. Running Back C.J. Marable, Coastal Carolina

Last but not least, you can watch Coastal Carolina running back C.J. Marable up against Liberty in the Cure Bowl on ESPN, also on Saturday (12ET). Coastal Carolina has been a pleasant surprise this year, working their way into a strong, consistent top-25 ranking, and Marable is a big reason why.

The 5-foot-10 back presents defenses with a true dual threat game. Between his 2019 and 2020 campaigns, Marable has caught 68 passes for 515 yards and 10 touchdowns. He has great hands coming out of the back field and has even shown he can make some of the tougher catches.

Marable has also gone for just under 2,000 yards on the ground over his last two seasons, while scoring 23 times. He’s a shifty, explosive back who can take it to the house in the open field. If he gets just a little bit of room, look out.

Because he’s played against lesser competition, Marable’s draft stock says he’ll be a pretty late-round guy, if not undrafted. But, he looks like a guy who could come into the NFL and immediately have a role as a third down back. Watch for Marable to have a big game in his final collegiate appearance, and head into the pre-draft process with much to prove.
